I have great pleasure in commending the Youth Group Section of the Life Art Society for the works it has done in promoting the appreciation of art and in fostering the development of artistic talents among young people. For most Commonwealth countries, the preservation of national culture and its continual regeneration represents an important aspect of human endeavor. The significance of youth’s role in this is excellently exemplified by the Youth Section in Singapore. Young people are actively involved in the Society’s activities, in fact, its affairs are managed entirely by them; providing ample demonstration of the success which can be achieved when young people have the opportunity to participate fully in the decision-making process.

我极为乐意地表扬“更生美术研究会”属下青年团在提高青年的美术鉴赏力，以及培养美术人才方面的贡献。许多英联邦国家致力于保存及发扬国家文化，视为极其重要的工作。新加坡更生属下青年团的表现足为其他国家青年团的楷模。该团的团圆积极参与会务活动。事实上，他们全权推动会务，这点表现出：要是给予青年参与决策的机会，他们可达致成功。

2010年更生美术研究会与 SMRT 成功联办挥春迎新活动，观赏者与领取春联者数以万计，会场公众人士联合创作“吉”字书法长卷，共有一百八十六米，成创新加坡最长“吉”字书法长卷图记录。
